The civil crisis in Liberia which lasted over a decade witnessed to mass destruction of lives and properties. At one of the transitional peace arrangements, the spirit of God ministered to the heart of pastor and Mrs. James Sumo Payne in 1999 January to start prayer support, teaching of the gospel and food hand out for nearby residents from their meager resource.

Wherefore, in April of 2001 the Lord connected Sabah Lombel, Benedictkolubah, Zeleh Kolubah, Samuel Davies, Rose Biehdyu, Earl Mulbah,SonnieKollie, Ma Klubo Kolubahto the vision. Having an ardor for expanded fellowship with the saints of God, in July 1, 2001 the infancy of corporate worship was started in a local Elementary school building. Moreover, as the Lord gave clarity to the progression of insights for winning the lost, the need for legitimacy with the national government authority could not be overstated.

On February 19, 2010 the government of Liberia granted a legal status to Christian Resource Ministries, which ultimately resulted to the full introduction of our first facet titled Christian Worship Center. As we witness to experience of Acts 2:1- 4 and Ezekiel 47:1- 12; our passion is to see the lord Jesus Christ raise new wineskins with an outpouring of His spirit so unusual and distinct.

Henceforth, we seek to build a multifaceted entity of graces and anointing. Our alignment with like-minded kingdom action orientated ministries and partners remind us of interdependence in reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We accept our mandate to influence many for the kingdom at every sphere. Christian Resource has a kaleidoscope of activities intended to bring hope to the hopeless; a mantle to affecting social change through kingdom concept of Christian ministry.
